Product Selection

As independent brokers, we have direct access to most Canadian insurance companies. We are not employees of any insurance company and we do not have quotas with any insurance company.

We maintain databases that track policy content differences and pricing, by insurance company, for all insurance product lines.

Once a need for an insurance product has been established with a client, we seek bids in the marketplace. All competitive bids received are disclosed to our clients in support of our recommendations.

Our ability to seek solutions over the entire market is a major strength of our practice. Many practitioners are not permitted by their employer (i.e. a bank, insurance company, proprietary investment company, and some mutual fund dealers) to offer a competitor’s products and as a result, the client never sees those quotes. We are able to analyze a complete range of options available and recommend the product that best suits our clients’ need.

Maintaining a full and current knowledge of the differences in policy content among the insurance companies is a major undertaking that we believe is in the consumer’s best interest.

Finally, consumers may not be aware that holding a CLU designation is not required in British Columbia to sell insurance. We are qualified to review, understand and explain the differences in policy content to our clients. We are Chartered Life Underwriters and Certified Financial Planners.
